Q: What are dates of this year’s festival?
A: The dates of this year’s festival are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 20, 21, and 22, 2017.
Q: What are the times?
A: Friday is kicked off with a lighted parade down Main Street with a city-wide Maxwell Street experience. The parade will begin around 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday the fun is from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm for most venues. Saturday night will be a “Magical Night Out” with a Harry Potter “Artrageous” experience at the local Performing Arts Center at 7:00 pm, Harry Potter movies offered Friday at 8pm and Saturday at 8pm and 10:15pm at the Jefferson’s Highway 18 Drive in Theater.
Q: Do I need a wristband?
A: To board any bus shuttle or enter any venue, you will need a wristband. Please respect the city and it’s citizens and park only in designated parking lots..
Q: What is the cost for wristbands?
A: Wristbands that allow fans to all the venues and on the shuttle busses are $15.00 plus tax and handling for kids ages 3-12 and $25.00 plus tax and handling for fans 13 and older. Parking is free at the Jefferson Fair Park. Parking will not be allowed on city streets.
Q: Where can I buy wristbands?
A: Wristbands can be purchased in Jefferson at the City Hall, The Drug Store, Piggly Wiggly, River’s Edge Meat Market & Catering or online at our website HarryPotterFestival.com.
Q: Is the wristband good for one day or the entire weekend?
A: The wristband is good for the entire weekend.
Q: Does the wristband include everything?
A: For the most part the wristband includes most experiences. There are a few events that have an additional charge and are stated on the program.
Q: How does the Festival benefit the City of Jefferson?
A: The festival will show thousands of people that Jefferson is a great little city with great stores for shopping, good houses with a fantastic school system and a wonderful place to open a business.
Q: What happens with the profits from the Festival?
A: All the money raised for the Festival pays for the many venues and the cost of having the Festival. Any monies left over after paying the bills is donated to local non-profit organizations.
Q: How many square miles is the Festival?
A: The City of Jefferson is about 6 square miles.
